Prof. Rowe is the Director of Hematology at Shaare Zedek Medical Center, Jerusalem and Member of the Department of Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation at the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Medicine of Northwestern University, Chicago, IL.
Prof. Rowe completed his medical degree at the University College and University College Hospital, London. He proceeded to complete a postdoctoral fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Rochester, New York. His main research areas are in the development of new treatment modalities for patients with hematologic malignancies. He has published over 350 articles in peer-reviewed journals and participated in national and international research initiatives including the Leukemia Committee of the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group.
Prof. Rowe is an Emeritus Professor at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Baillieres Best practice & Research: Clinical Hematology. He is the co-editor of Blood Reviews and a Section Editor of Leukemia. He is a member of the editorial board of American Journal of Hematology, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Clinical Leukemia and Leukemia Research.
He is also a member of many professional societies including the American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, European Bone Marrow Transplant Group, and the National Oncology Council.
