Professor Selina Luger

Selina M. Luger is Professor of Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She is also Director of the Leukemia Program, Abramson Cancer Center.

She graduated with a BA in Biochemistry from Harvard University in 1982. Then she studied Medicine which she completed in 1987 from McGill University. Prof. Luger underwent post-graduate training in internal medicine at the Presbyterian University Hospital, Pittsburgh from 1988 to 1990. She completed her fellowship in hematology-oncology at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia between 1990 and 1993. Her research interests are hematologic malignancies and stem cell transplantation.

Prof. Luger is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, and a member of Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR). She is also a member of the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group and the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada.
